Dashboard Overview
The OtterClaims dashboard is your command center for managing all claim activities. Here's a comprehensive guide to help you navigate efficiently.
Main Dashboard View
When you first log in, you'll see:
- Statistics Cards: Quick overview of active claims, pending approvals, completed claims, and total revenue
- Recent Claims: Your most recently submitted or updated claims
- Status Charts: Visual breakdown of claims by status
- Recent Activity: Timeline of recent actions and updates
Left Sidebar Navigation
The sidebar provides quick access to all major sections:
Dashboard
Returns you to the main overview page with statistics and recent activity.
Claims
View all your claims with filtering and search options. Click "New Claim" to submit a new warranty claim. You can filter by status, date range, or contract provider.
Messages
Communication center for all claim-related messages. Messages are organized by claim, making it easy to track conversations with contract providers.
Payments
Track all payment information including pending payments, payment history, and outstanding invoices. Export payment reports for accounting.
Reports
Access detailed analytics and generate custom reports on claim performance, revenue, turnaround times, and more.
Search
Powerful search tool to quickly find claims by VIN, claim number, customer name, or other criteria. Use advanced filters for precise results.
Top Navigation Bar
The top bar includes:
- Global Search: Quick search accessible from anywhere
- Notifications: Bell icon shows new messages and claim updates
- Profile Menu: Access your facility profile, settings, and logout
Claims Table Features
In the Claims section, you can:
- Sort by any column (claim number, date, status, etc.)
- Filter by multiple criteria simultaneously
- Export claims data to CSV or Excel
- Bulk select claims for batch actions
- Click any claim to view full details
Claim Detail View
When you open a specific claim, you'll see tabs for:
- Details: All claim information including vehicle, customer, and repair details
- Timeline: Complete history of all actions and status changes
- Documents: All uploaded files and photos
- Messages: Conversation thread specific to this claim
- Actions: Available actions based on current claim status
Quick Actions
Look for these quick action buttons throughout the interface:
- New Claim (+ button in top right)
- Upload Documents (paperclip icon)
- Send Message (message icon)
- Update Status (dropdown in claim details)
Keyboard Shortcuts
Speed up your workflow with these shortcuts:
N- Create new claim/- Focus search barEscape- Close modals/dialogs
Pro Tip:
Customize your dashboard view by clicking the settings icon in the top right. You can choose which statistics and charts appear on your main dashboard.
